Jamaica as made it to their first ever FIFA World Cup and I can’t wait to see them play! The team was disbanded in 2008, reformed in 2014 and the Reggae Girls refuse to look back! They are a major powerhouse in the Caribbean region, a place known for its stronghold in both women’s and men’s cricket.
They will have to fight hard in a group with experienced giants Brazil and Italy!
First Match: Brazil vs Jamaica, 9 June 2019, Stade des Alpes, Grenoble, France
17. Korea Republic
FIFA Ranking : 14
Coach: : Dukyeo YOON
Group: A

Korea has qualified for a second consecutive time for 2019. It will look to bedazzle us, just like their male counterparts did in the 2018 World Cup by defeating Football Giants Germany! What they would also like is to go much, much farther ahead!
Their performance has not been good in Asia or elsewhere, but absolutely no team or being( speaking philosophically 😉 ) deserves to be written off just on the basis of stats! It wouldn’t be any easier against likes of France and Norway!
First Match : France vs Korea, 8 June 2019, Parc des Princes, Paris, France
16. New Zealand
FIFA Ranking: 19
Coach: Tom SERMANNI
Group: E

New Zealand is known more for its Cricketing wonders, and the Football Ferns sure would like to tweak that!
New Zealand has qualified consistently since 2007 but is yet to move out of the Group Stage. They remain unopposed champions in Oceania, but they would have to step it up against the World. Lined up against Canada, it will be fascinating to see how they tackle it!
First Match: New Zealnd vs Netherlands, 11 June 2019, Stade Océane, Le Havre, France
15. Italy
FIFA Ranking: 15
Coach: Milena BERTOLINI
Group: C

This will be Italy’s first outing to the World Cup after 1999. They have had a fairly commendable run in the European Championships. What remains to be seen is whether or not they will be able to replicate it in France! Their return to the World Stage stands as their greatest opportunity to jump back up internationally. It will be my first time to watch them play and I sure am EXCITED!!! 😀
First Match: Australia vs Italy, 9 June 2019, Stade du Hainaut, Valenciennes, France
